IS IT REALLY SAFE TO TRAVEL TO MEXICO?

I JUST READ WHERE TWENTY ONE PEOPLE WERE KILLED  IN A SHOOTOUT  JUST TWELVE MILES FROM THE ARIZONA BORDER NEAR THE TOWN OF NOGALES.  THE REASON I BRING THIS UP IS: WE WERE TALKING WITH A NICE YOUNG LADY AND SHE WAS TELLING US THAT IT IS SAFE TO TRAVEL TO MEXICO, ESPECIALLY TO SONORA.  I DON’T THINK WE WILL BE GOING IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
